Biography
The heiress to one of Turkey's most talented family of musicians, singer and performer Hazal Suzan Selcuk is a musician, known for representing Turkey at the 1989 Eurovision Song Contest in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Currently, she works as a registered associate marriage and family therapist in Turkey and California, with expertise in developmental trauma, couples therapy, and body-centered creative arts therapy.
She offers relationship repair for individuals and couples through somatic, attachment, and developmental trauma work. Her focus is on exploring one's authentic voice through somatic work, movement, and artistic creativity.
Hazal’s approach is informed by current neuroscience and attachment research as applied to how individuals and partners in intimate relationships can function securely and sustain lasting happiness and satisfaction. She brings embodiment, artistic creativity, warmth, and playfulness into her work.
Her work at ISMETA allows her to offer online coaching as well.
Having lived in five different countries, she is particularly skilled in addressing diversity issues around power inequality, relocation, culture shock along developmental trauma.
