Biography

Sinan Can (Nijmegen, October 31, 1977) is a Dutch journalist and TV programmer of Turkish origin.

He worked as an investigative journalist for, among other things, the television program Zembla of the VARA.

His television documentaries "Bloedboeders" with Ara Halici (2013-2015) and "De Arab Storm" with director Thomas Blom (2015-2016) for BNNVARA were well received. A book was also published for both documentaries.

In 2016 he received the "Journalist for Peace Prize". 

In December 2016, his two-part television documentary "Our mission in Afghanistan" was broadcast at VARA.

"In the wake of IS" followed a year later. In March 2018 there is the documentary "The lost children of the caliphate".
