Biography
Elke Lale van Achterberg (21) is both a wheelchair fencer and a model. In 2011 her life changed suddenly upon a sports injury. She broke her toe which led to severe nerve pain. After 4 years of living with intense pain, she decided to have her left lower leg amputated. But the operation led her to pick up the floret and her fencing success turned into many world championships.
